Performed by Irma Geddon, Written and Produced by Nicole Zaray. Recorded during Lockdown in NYC, 2020. I wrote "You Can Hide In My Basement" in 2019, and premiered it at Madame Claude in Berlin, Germany. I was having some premonitions about us all having to hide in bunkers, and the challenges this would present in urban environments. So this song occurred. Enjoy.

“I Sing In My Voice” -  the first single release from Irma Geddon on 2/14/22  -  is a minimal electro version of the dark slavic folk song, “Spievam Si  Ja  Hlasom”.  Against a pulsing beat made of processed voices, the song outlines a stoic journey from one’s familiar place to a new place, where your heart is toughened but you can sing in your own voice. This first-ever American version of this centuries-old song can be interpreted as cynical or surreal or both, but in either case its a fitting catchy first single from an album that documents the uncertainties of our time.
